BUILDING RENTALS
The Senior Center is open. Individuals or groups may make reservations for rentals. Please contact the Senior Center at 802.425.6345 and leave a message if you are interested. Your call will be returned.
When not in use for scheduled senior activities, the Charlotte Senior Center is available for rent by community organizations, businesses and private individuals. Available rental periods are typically on weekdays after 4:00 PM, and all day on Saturdays and most Sundays. The entire building, including the kitchen, can be used.
Charlotte public service groups can use the building free of charge, although there will be a nominal cleaning fee if food is served. All other renters will be asked to pay a rental fee based on the number of people in attendance (maximum 100), and the day of the week of the rental. Small groups on weeknights pay the least, and large groups on Saturdays pay the maximum. There is also a security deposit ($100) that is returned to the renter as long as the premises are left clean and tidy.
Although renters have full use of the kitchen appliances, for health reasons, they must provide their own dishes, flatware, cookware and utensils. Because the Center’s sanitizer is not available for use by renters, most use disposable items.
Alcoholic beverages may be served, but if so, renters must sign an agreement with the Town of Charlotte, and provide (or have their caterer provide) proof of $500,000 host liability insurance.
Please call the Senior Center at 802.425.6345 for more rental information.
