The exercises are specifically for individuals who need additional support or who are recovering from a recent surgery.

Meditation is an easy-to-learn practice that has been proven to reduce anxiety, stress, pain, and depression. In this 4-part series, we’ll explore breathing techniques, chants and guided visualizations to lead into meditation, and we’ll also learn ways to deal with an unruly mind, difficult relations and personal stress by applying meditation philosophy. My Little Red File Workshop

Presenter Peg Maffitt has been involved in hospice and end-of-life care education for 30 years. With her experience and awareness of the fragility of life, Peg has created “my little red file.” This file includes important documents that your family would need to know immediately, including a completed Advance Directive, Last Will and Testament, birth certificate, social security card, passwords, etc. During this workshop, Peg will help you create an index for your own little red file. There will be an optional second session.

Please note that payment and registration are separate processes; be sure to register as above. Fees for exercise courses have changed; please see the course description for that information. To pay, make your check out to Charlotte Senior Center (CSC), and be sure to write the full name of the course in the memo section of your check. You can drop your check off at the Center, or mail it to P.O. Box 207, Charlotte, VT 05445. If you wish to pay with cash, there will be an envelope at the desk for you to use.
