Kirtan is an ancient Yoga gathering where musicians play traditional instruments and sing simple chants. Some chants are call and response and others are singalongs. You can also simply sit, listen and enjoy. The goal is to create a peaceful, quiet and soothing space inside. We'll have song sheets, explain the chants before singing and offer some brief, quiet times between chants for meditation. All are welcome and no experience is necessary. Questions? Please contact Charlie Nardozzi at cnardozzi124@gmail.com.

This is a 4 week series, and you are also welcome to attend individual classes. Rather than learning the tai chi set, each class explores one of the movement principles of tai chi that you can integrate into your daily life and all your other activities. Working with some of the basic gestures of tai chi in addition to simple yet powerful exercises, we will explore individually and interactively how to balance from the ground up, how to bring more strength and more ease to shoulders and arms, to find the flow and to walk in the world with more presence. How to Register for Courses:
You can register in person at the Senior Center, by phone at 802-425-6345, and online through our new database. Most of our exercise classes do not require registration unless the class is offered as a multi-week session. To register for classes through the database, please go to our website (CharlotteSeniorCenterVT.org) under the Registration tab and enter your username and password. If you are unsure if you have an account, you can check for an existing account. And if you do not have an account, you can easily create a new account. Questions? Please do not hesitate to call or stop by the Senior Center and we are more than happy to help you with your registration and questions about the database.
Payment:
Payment and registration are separate processes; be sure to register if the program requires registration. NEW! You are now able to pay online with a credit card through the Senior Center database. At this time we cannot accept credit cards in person at the Senior Center. You may drop off your cash or check payment at the Center or mail a check to: P.O. Box 207 Charlotte, VT 05445. Please make your check out to Charlotte Senior Center (CSC) and write the full name of the course in the memo section of your check.
If the fees are a hardship, please do not hesitate to contact the director about a scholarship.
Refund Policy:
For courses that require pre-payment to register (these are typically multi-week sessions), payment must be received at least one week in advance of the start of the course. Refunds are given up until one week prior to a course’s beginning, minus a 20% non-refundable fee. No refunds are given for course sessions you are not able to attend, nor can we prorate a course’s cost for missed sessions. A full refund will be given if we cancel a course due to low enrollment. For classes that do not require registration, you will have the option to be invoiced and pay monthly. See the details on our refund policy.
