And we'll apply our meditation to questions such as how to calm my mind, how can I develop inner peace and how can I hold this peace during hard times?

Participants will learn the short Sun Style form. Movements can easily be modified to accommodate various fitness levels and mobility restrictions, making it suitable for all physical abilities.

Members of the Champlain hub of the Vermont Pastel Society feature a variety of paintings demonstrating the different techniques and styles of the pastel medium. Pottery workshop

Sculpt in clay a bird or your favorite animal. Using the pinch method of working with clay, you will pinch two pots and put them together, forming the body of an animal. Using sculpting tools or adding clay to create ears, legs, paws or a tail, you will create a bird or animal of your choice. Additionally, you could add bits of clay inside the hollow form to create a rattle. Your sculptures will be returned to the Senior Center in about 3 weeks, fired and ready to display.

It is a mind-body exercise program that introduces the foundational concepts and postures of this ancient Chinese art, focusing on slow, flowing movements, controlled breathing, balance, and mindfulness. Participants will learn the short Sun Style form. Movements can easily be modified to accommodate various fitness levels and mobility restrictions, making it suitable for all physical abilities.

You can register in person at the Senior Center or by phone at 802-425-6345. Most of our exercise classes do not require registration unless the class is offered as a multi-week session.
Payment:
Payment and registration are separate processes; be sure to register if the program requires registration. You may drop off your cash or check payment at the Center or mail a check to: P.O. Box 207 Charlotte, VT 05445. Please make your check out to Charlotte Senior Center (CSC) and write the full name of the course in the memo section of your check.
If the fees are a hardship, please do not hesitate to contact the director about a scholarship.
Refund Policy:
For courses that require pre-payment to register (these are typically multi-week sessions), payment must be received at least one week in advance of the start of the course. Refunds are given up until one week prior to a course’s beginning, minus a 20% non-refundable fee. No refunds are given for course sessions you are not able to attend, nor can we prorate a course’s cost for missed sessions. A full refund will be given if we cancel a course due to low enrollment. For classes that do not require registration, you will have the option to be invoiced and pay monthly. See the details on our refund policy.
