As we continue to monitor the current Department of Health guidelines and current COVID cases, our goal is to be able to safely continue offering in-person programming at the Charlotte Senior Center. (See more about masking)
If you test positive for COVID 19 and you have been at the Senior Center in the days prior to your positive test, please notify our Senior Center Director, Lori York, as soon as possible.
Please make sure you are signing in for the programming you are attending and that we have up-to-date contact information for you. We will make every effort to reach out to all participants who are a “Close Contact” in accordance with the State of Department Health guidelines.
(Note: Close contact means being within 6 feet, for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period, of someone with COVID-19 during their infectious period. A person with COVID-19 is considered infectious starting 2 days before they develop symptoms, or 2 days before the date of their positive test if they do not have symptoms.)
If you hear about a positive COVID test in our community and you have not been contacted, then you are considered not in close contact.
It is important to know that in accordance with ADA requirements, we are not able to provide the names of those who test positive for COVID. We will maintain the privacy of our participants’ health information. If you have any questions, please reach out to Lori York at 802.425.6371 or feel free to stop by her office.
Thank you for working in partnership to safely keep our Senior Center open.
